I knew somewhere there was a muscle car in my Allante. That many horses and that big Northstar just had to put out a little more growl than what it was doing stock.

So, I hooked up with Lance at Boulder Euro Sport Tuning (in Boulder - a great guy - 303-875-8747, $120 an hour, 600 a day, 12k a month, but perhaps not really into caddys - I think I am a project for him... He really does race cars and performance tuning - not really service stuff) and wow - this car sounds great...


I really don't know much about the exhaust - details that is - but I do have a lot of photos...

Wow - you would think it was a whole new car (actually the bi-turbo is more what Lance usually works on - The Allante was its stable mate for a couple of days...)

I love the new sound and look – I might be changing out the tip for something chrome – still looking though…

Great photos of the installation and parts! From what I can see you have larger diameter stainless pipes that have been mandral bent with a more direct flow through the Edelbrock muffler added to a high flow cat. This is a nicely done system. It is sure to have released a good number ofhorses. As for finding a chrome tip why not polish the stainless tip already installed.

We do have a sites and sounds section. Try pm Stealth or Patrick for instructions. Great photos, just need cold air andk&n filter, maybe a chip and then disable traction control. You can do this for 11 ignition cycles and then it reverts back to abled.

Got the filter - and Lance just took off the air intake snorkel and then left the port through the fender wall - added some grid to keep me from sucking up small animals

I couldn't find a cold air intake for this... do you have any suggestions?

You can disable the traction control on the DIC I have the print-out in my glove box which is in PA. Try the owners manual, I believe it's there. Why? Because you can, although it will NOT prolong the life of the tires.

As for cold air, I haven't done to mine but try this

the traction control adjusts power to prevent wheel spins.

you got a grill shoot before the snorkel was yanked?

as to the GRILL ... L@@K at my profile .. something removed from MY GRILL ...
i didnt think that a pimple on a pretty face was pretty.
you may want to try that and decide if you like the looks .. .

Fox, the photos of the car on the hoist has different tires from the shots on the ground, you hiding something from us? Why not show us a nice pic of the new meats too? That is fine looking rubber andimo you should leave the traction control engaged. No sense tearing up those beauties.

i just remember something about someone making "one by one" mufflers to match the OEM
units cuz they cant be found. Iam going by memory and incorrect but that is what i remember.
someone may come along and want to duplicate your innovations.

you should be able to find black paint on the old ...

Stealth - you can see a bit of the old black paint on the muffler in the first picture. I only wanted to match the "footprint" of the old exhaust - this is far, far removed from original - it is closer to a racing exhaust -

Good catch Katzman - new shoes!!!! You can see the new Toyo tires in the "butt" shot - got them for a song (thanks to industry discount, and they run Toyos on one of our sponsored race cars).

Wider than normal - 245s (spec on the Allante is 225/60/16) - so lower aspect ratio at 50 - great look - lots of rubber on the pavement - no rubbing whatsoever.

I would image that these will wear pretty fast though - soft rubber - speed rated w. I kept the Michelins - just in case. But, I was finally able to get the ugly wheel weights off the face of the wheels and they balanced them with weight tape on the inside - so they balanced them side to side as well...

I'll get a beauty shot of them tonight - it is venturing out of the garage - I figured out how to get sound up on this site - so I need to record it tonight - in a park, away from the neighbors...

And, Stealth - I sort of like the caddy emblem on the front - this is a caddy - no matter what I do to it - those over the top chrome wheels are staying on - the logos are staying on (although I won't be adding any... no need to get silly here). I think people sort of view it like the "Hot Rod Lincoln" of the 50s/60s - it is unexpected...

I have emailed Lance to get a part number - I know it is a SDT muffler - stainless... two outlet - offset...

They make them in all different sizes... it is for custom applications.

And, nope - it ain't your Daddy's Caddy....

Nope, not a kit - it is a hand-made exhaust. The cat is from Dynatech - the resonator I believe is from borla... Pipes - ?????? Muffler Edelbrock.

I don't think they make kits for this car - and I wanted a very specific sound... that is why the hand made one...

Does anyone know what the part numbers might be for the CAT and Muffler? I have someone to make the pipes I just want to make sure I get something that will fit in the stock locations.
