I love "muscle cars" but will walk by one of these along with the Camero because to me they are "BORING" Especially when compared with the same models of the 70"s.
I wish GM execs would get their heads out of the sand and concentrate on something the world needs like the "Chevy Volt."
Pretty soon, you will find the "Toyota" label on everything with four wheels.

I will agree, that is just one big disappointment.

That's the best they could do and it's still 4 years out. GM should be able tosmell Toyoto right behind them.

You know when it is built, it is going to be damn expensive, but it will still not bring the dollar amount a "78" will bring on the auction block!

if they add a twin supercharger, it will sell.

what do you think about the XLR?

Contraversial at best. it is considered the modern Allante with a new name. The real problem is, the Allante crowd thinks in terms of collectibles, which IMHO, cars rarely become. AS any car, it did suffer from bugs at its onset, but as of lately, i dont hear of ongoing bugs any more on the newer models.

It is a car, it is a Cadillac, and IMHO, it is one hell of a hot car. I see lots of them in the LA area, they are selling here. I stop at the dealer now and then, and the XLR's cars in the show room move as well as others. In my town, there are at least 7 or 8 of them, but only two Allantes (one is mine).

me for one, love the car, specially the XLR-V - the interior is CLEAN and UNCLUTTERED, gone are the dozens of knobs, the airplane cockpit look. It is definably a nice car. The care takes you there in style. This is one of those that "returns the favor". Read/watch the clips in the 2nd post here:

And. as in the case of the Allante (but not quite so bad) these cars xlr-v are selling way below the initial 100k price tag. Stealth once gave his prediction on the value of used xlr's in the future.
