Having just bought a 2000 Deville DTS I'm faced with the option of purchasing an extended warranty offered by the GM dealer. It's not cheap at $2250. for 24months/24,000 bumper to bumper Major Guard Plan. The car is at 70,000 miles. So what's the consensus? Should I just take my chances? How reliable has this model proven? Or should I pay the "protection money"?
