My eldo has 48k. My mechainc tells me that at around 60k caddis can get an oil problem which to get fixed involves pulling the engine and a repari bill of about $2000. Anyone had that problem?

The Northstar engine will burn 1 quart of oil every thousand miles, but according to Gm this is perfectly normal due to the hatch patterns on the cylinder walls. My opinion to you is to get a new Mechanic, either he has no clue or he's looking to take advantage of you. Good luck, Tony |
