Some people use ID's that are easy to see the signifigance in but others have cryptic style names. Take me, Katzmans Caddy. Why this name? Easy...My car is a one previous owner Deville. I bought my car from the dealer but the original owner was Norman Katzman, the owner of Normetals, so everybody in this community knows I bought Katzman's Caddy, hence my name.

What's the significance of your name?

wcoates is my name, you can call me Bill.  Interesting thread!  What is a Stealth, hyperion, G.A.R.Y., 92myphase2, ...........It's names like Jim that must have a hidden meaning!
G.A.R.Y.

Gary is my name, you will have to ask Stealth what G.A.R.Y. stands for as he invented the original meaning, it has since morphed into something else, not associating with far left or far right wackos, not a partisan, and will debate the likes of  80car jon, Don (wyatt earp) sims on a level playing field.
Of course this will not happen because those people IMHO have no backbone, and can only think of what they are going to say next while your speaking, instead of listening.

Katzman. welcome to off-topic.

Jim,  like Smith And Jones used to be very popular and normal in this country. This has of course been replaced with Jose, Garcia and Sanchez.

So Jim hang on to it, buy the year 2040 it will be something of the past.

Thanks G.A.R.Y., happy to be an off-topicer! I'm in Canada so unless Jose or Garcia digs a really long tunnel I'm probably never going to have to worry about him!

Hey Guys:  I'm all for simple is good.  Brougham is for my Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance and the #1 is for the previous owner. The old guy that owned the car was #1 in my books but would never sell me his car, then when he died his son asked me if I was still interested and I said HELL YES. The car was in the garage and never driven for at least 10 - 15 years that I know of so is in pristine condition. Wanted to say hi to Katzman as well, a fellow canuck, enjoy reading your posts and your particular style of insight. So long folks.

i can understand that.

Gary and i used to be .. .. err .. unfriendly
to each other.  in those times i gave him and
other guys a title G.A.R.Y.
for reasons that dont apply anymore.

so i cant explain it w/o messing things up.

another guy that i enrolled into the G.A.R.Y.
has  a tribute right here in this Off-Topic.
read that, maybe it will help?
maybe not ...
