What is up with parts for my STS?????

  I have a 95 sts with the 4.6 northstar and a broken cam on the left intake. I have called all over the USA and no cams are available anywhere in fact the dealerships I have talked to, say they also have other people in need of the overhead camshafts and we all have to wait until they (the manufacturer of the cams desides to cast some more) Just who would be that company that casts the cams?
 
It's been about six weeks with no transportation for me!!!
 
 Why would it ever get to this point!!!! No cams anywhere? this is indeed a royal pain in my *** Waiting for a casting of parts! This is totally wrong I love my caddy and the one thing I thought cadillac could do is please its faithfull buyers of fine luxury autos.
 
Someone has sure let me down! I wish I could call this person and give him or her a good ass chewing!!!!
 
Does anyone anywhere have or no how to get a cam preferablely new but I'd take a used one in good shape.
 
Cadillac may not be the next car I will buy if this is'nt resolved very soon and to think I was wanting a 98 Eldorado with the "full Monte" to sit my fat ass in and make everyone of my friends wish they had one.
 
Just when I got caddy in my blood this Makes me and all the bragging about how good my cadillac is look like a 57 volvo!!!! You boys at cadillac sure need to step up to the plate and play ball or get out of the game!!!
 
Yes I'm pissed and ready to tell everyone who will listen how you can't depend on parts from and for CADILLAC!!!

Those of us with Allantes know how you feel.  Good luck hunting, hopefully someone here will read your post and be able to help out.

Yeah it's harder now to come across 13 year old parts for that STS. What country are you in btw ?

I guess when the demand for cams gets big enough they will get of there asses.

Being I am in the same boat, however the 550+ list price is not in the budget I planned for my 94 ETC. It seems a good used one should be availible Part# I ran fits 93-99. STS,SLS,Concours are likely in a local salvage yard. I will check into new cam and post tommorrow.

Rickyd I got the car in my boss's shop i'll have to get back to you on the vin #
 
Slowroll Hope u can find and extra left side intake camshaft somewhere i can't . What camshaft r u lookn for or whatever it is u need?

All I have found out so far is Part# exsists however no stock available anywhere. I have been waiting for answer on when it will be available or a part # change for a week.
