Genuine GM Parts - AC Delco the way it left the factory and the ones you need to put back in.

Hi brick.  I have the same car/engine.  I replaced the original plugs, installed at the factory, with Bosch Platinum #DR9BPX.  Getting plugs out/in on the rear-bank was .......challanging but I have long/skinny arms.  The AC Delco brand plugs are very good, I just wanted to try the Platinum ones and I'm happy.

I've been looking for this kind of thread. I'm planning to replace my spark plug and i happened to open a site on accel plugs performance parts. I wonder if they have the spark plugs that is suitable for my 1987 cadillac.

i used new iridium plugs and 8mm plug wires with high current HEI from crane ignitions. In my 87  4.1 deville the thing is a rocket now just to let u know there is other options but ac delco parts are
ok

I also used Bosch Plat plugs (#6241).  A little grease on the arm is a help on changing the rear-bank plugs.  I'm happy with their performance.

did you do a FAQ search?

4100, 4500, 4900 engines love these PLATINUMS .
