VATS key & busted bumper 1997 Eldorado .. A couple questions...

My auto theft system seems to not read my key or something. i have a 97 eldorado. when ever i go to start the car sometimes it doesnt start and i have to wait three minutes as it says on the dashboard of the car where you get all the info about your car from. its been doing this for a while now. has anyone seem or haerd of this problem? what shud i do?

also my back bumper got hit by some guy does anyone one a good website where i can find a new one??

before we do anything, try your spare key and see if its the same thing.

parts .. i got a link in our classfieds for used parts and you can also go to  craigslist.com  to see if anyone near you is selling one.

that was the first thing i thought of so i tried it and it doesnt do it as much, but it still does it. do you think the chip inside the ignition is busted??? if so where shud i go to replace it and how much do you think it wud cost??? thanks for the help
