hey all. Just put my 2001 Deville DHS in the shop yesterday. Apparently there is a upgrade on the coolant line for the transmission. Found a leak 2 days ago, and dealer has to order the part. 2 day order. That sucks. Anyone else had this problem, and what is the best mileage to do the transmission fluid change and seal check? My Deville has 64000 miles on it.

Transmission line leaks are pretty common problems in my parts plus the big GM C & H bodies have had recalls in the past for this. No big deal imo but the big deal is no car for the weekend. Anyway I think your owners manual may advise doing that change at 50,000.

thanks guys. Went ahead and I am having the dealer install the new line. I'll go ahead and have the seal checked as well. Just hope th is takes care of the problem. Hate leaks.

Not to dig up old stories but this just happened to me too. I'm curious what this job set you back. A friend did it for me so I'd like to know what I should pay him.

Any part can be overnighted trans line may have cost an extra ten bucks.Dealer should be getting trucks daily.

Hello, Was this leak constant or just when you put in gear? I am having a leak problem when I shift into reverse.
Jenny.
