Save you money and buy a different car! If you insit on trying to repair it Timesert maybe comming out with a big sert kit for your engine. You may also look on ebay for the individual who sells The - Northstar engine head bolt thread insert kit m11 x 1.5 - but I don't believe either is approve by GM Good luck

its a 96 STS. we have had it for 7 years. amethyst paint, light cream interior. mint condition. it has 110k miles. i am not ready to give it up yet. i did find a timesert kit. i put in 10 inserts and ordered more so i am not done yet. the job seems lengthy but straightforward. i plan on making it my summer car so its going to be put away during the winter in MN.
I have a time-sert kit for a 97 SLS. I''ll take $250 for the kit. Shipping included.
