first off my name is carl, im a newbie so no soaking my head in the toilet. i searched for a post for my ? and never found so ill ask ya guys. last night after driving home from wally world i noticed my stock bose navigation on my cts was acting kind of funny. the selectors to the right wont work. to me i think the things are junk but knowing that that is pretty much the brains of my car would i be throwing away the value of my car if i bought an aftermarket dvd/nav player i know i wont have the "headlamps suggested" or the "service steering soon" <-dont ask, lol but would they be able to still reset the oil? thanks for any replys i know we dont get paid to be here but any question is greatly appriciated ;)

Lets put it like this . I never met a Bose system that I didn''t like. I have had them in 6 different Acura''s and my Allante, they were all good but the one in my STS IS OFF THE CHAIN to say the least, the only system that I heard that will compete is the Mark Levinson in the LS 460.
