Started, Shut off didnt start, then started.

I am really starting to hate this car. I woke up this morning started the car, interior lights did not work, I shut the car off and then it did not start again, no radio no clicking, power seat worked though!!! Ok fine, I disconnected the red cable to the battery & re-connected it, and wha-la guess what the car started right up and everything worked!!! What in the hell could that be, what could have caused that?
