Check brake linings for wear. Some replacement linings are more prone to noise than others. Ceramic pads seem to be the quitiest and don't dust as bad as other types. Warpped rotors, loose wheel bearing, or dragging brakes along with metalic linings can cause constant brake squeal. Low quality replacement or poorly finished rotors can also cause brake noise.

My mechanic told me that these tend to warp OEM rotors cause they get hot. What do you think about putting these on an 84' Sedan DeVille?
OH sorry to jack your thread though!!!!!!

Changed break pads, no sqeaking now. The old ones didnt have that much wear.

some hard brake pads develop a surface glaze and squeak,
softer pads tend to be less noisy.
