Is it normal to turn the key it take a second or two for the starter to engage and the motor then start.
There is quite a noticable delay between the ignition and the motor starting.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

my 93 seville will also do that with one of the keys i have but if i use the newer key there is no hesitation at all
