PEP Boys Closures

The Pep Boys closed 31 stores Wednesday, including three in metro Atlanta, to open a five-year strategic plan that will include a change in its mix of automotive products and adding "smaller neighborhood service shops."

The Philadelphia-based company said the "low return" stores that are closing had 550 employees, about 3 percent of the company's employee total. The move leaves the company with 561 stores.
