Neeed help on Driver Information Center

I recently purchased an 06' SRX with 13,00 miles on it and I'm wondering if anyone can help me access the Driver Information Center for personalization, if that's possible with my car.  all attemps I have made result in the following message, "Personalization Off"  "Home Pre-sets"  The owner's manual says to turn the ignition to ON but not start the engine then after pressing either 1 or 2 on the armrest to press the TUNE/SEL knob once to access the main menu of the DIC.  NOthing happens when I try this.  Can anyone help.  Do I NOT have this feature on my car?

if the vehicle has navigation it makes the personalization  setup much easier.  it  really helps by explaining each step for your own personalization  on the navi menu.

After pressing tune/select once. Turn knob til SETUP is displayed. Then press again.Then turn knob again to find feature. Then press again to enter, then turn kob to change. If you still have trouble go to dealer. Someone there should be able to show you how to use it.
