OK. I am new to Cadillacs (well not really my dad had a 93 STS)

I'm planning on purchasing a new CTS within 1 year..

and knowing myself, I will be tweaking with the interior and exterior of the car.

One of the main concerns is the aftermarket support of this vehicle. I've done some preliminary research on suspension parts (from tokico, tein, kyb, etc) and only found that eibach makes springs for the CTS only lowering in 1.2 inches. I'd like a lot lower. Somewhere between 2-3 inches. Are there any shocks / struts and springs / coilovers that are available for this car? I know ground control makes good coils as well as D2 . Getting these parts are not a concern for me, one of my buddies owns a aftermarket shop, but he's in HK right now. I dont know domestics that well, hence I drive a modified rice box

Please enlighten me :)

Thanks

BigWilly.

There is not much in the way of aftermarket for the CTS regarding performance. You've found the extent of the suspension parts except for Hotchkis who makes a suspension kit. Upgrading shocks for the CTS usually entails getting a CTS-V user's hand-me-downs. A CAI is available from Volant and K&N; exhaust is narrowing down (as manufacturers have fallen out of the exhaust market for the CTS) to CORSA and Borla, depending on which engine you purchase.

In the time frame you are going to purchase the second-generation CTS will be available and maybe then the aftermarket will expand a bit more as the CTS demonstrates its staying power.
