Seems like it has been idling rough and just recently the gas had 3 bars left and it pooped out on me. I put 89 in it from a valero station, I hear they are crap, so I guess I should use 91 from a mobile??

that is NOT logical.
89 vs 91 has ZERO chance of doing that under the conditions you stated.

Your car will not stop running just cause you used 89 octane. Now, contaminated gas could be an issue, water, etc. However we need more info in order to diagnose. Codes, etc. Bad sensor, maybe you/re out of gas? etc. etc.

So you ran out of gas? If so set your trip od after you next fill up and keep track of the mileage, if your gauge is not correct. After a couple of tanks you will know where the needle is when you're running low.

Yeah, I guess thats the case, I will keep my eye on that, thanks. Filled the tank up the other day and now it wont turn over this morning, it did when it was warmer out though, but not at night??? suspect the cold start valve?

maybe, but if you run out of gas, it might be a good ide if you replace the fuel fitler.

Haha, it must have died that one time because of the distributer cap or rotar. The rotar was really worn down. Thanks for all the help guys! I keep it full of gas now!
