Motor for 96 STS?????

I have a 96 STS with a blown Northstar 4.6 motor and a buddy of mine has a wrecked 94 Cadillac Deville Concours with a recent rebuilt Northstar 4.6L. He is going to let me get it for a real nice deal and I was wondering is it possilble to put the motor from the 94 into the 96? And also what things would I have to change?

Basic long block is the same, you will need to transfer intake, water pump housing with egr ....etc. But it will work. As for your old engine VIN 9 left intake camshafts are in demand.
