Car is 2000 DHS w 101500 miles, has a small power steering leak, I filled it with some stop leak last night, dont know if its related, but went to a concert last night & sitting in the parking lot w the car running , noticed a loud buzzing noise that got louder & louder, it almost sounded like the horn, but I pulled that & it continued. when I shut car off & went to restart the noise continued without the engine running, it seamed to be coming from the left front?
doese this car have a electric water pump or power steering pump/cooler. Hours later it was a little quiter & yet today , no noise?
Any ideas?

Its the SAI motor. (secondary air injection)
The air intake can suck in water and ruin the electric motor.
GM has an updated air intake to use when you replace the motor.

is this a hard fix? went through a big downpour on the way, so makes sense, why has it stopped?

So-so
take off the drivers tire, inner fender and front skid plate. you'll get a good look at it then.
It only runs to warm up the catalitic converter then shuts off.
Or the motor locked up, but that usually triggers a check engine light.

Upon further investigation, It ended being a shorted out winshield washer motor!
