Hi KMAC, I cant help with the grumble noise, not really enough info to go on. Were it not for the fact it quits on warm up, I would have feared a front wheel bearing or CV joint.
As far as the stalling problem goes, the fact it only happened twice over a long period of time is also a tough one. Your B0533 code indicates a fuel sensor open or shorted to B+, I believe this is just the tank level sensor and I noted eleswhere that this will also sometimes throw a P0440 code. While it seems unlikely that the tank sensor could cause the intermittent stall problem, it does indicate that a possible short or break has occured in the tank sensor, or the wiring harness between the gas tank and the BCM module. I think you should first clear this code & see if it comes back. If your lucky it might show up again the next time the car stalls and you will have at least narrowed the problem.
The Current Code 1588 is "cruise control clutch circ High", I dont know what this does but it doesn't sound relevant to your problems.
The B2150 is front mirror sensor low. My car has this constantly since I clipped the mirror once.
All the other codes are because you disconnected the battery.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Slowroll or some other technician can respond better, however, I think your grumble when it is cold is due to the carbon build up around your oil ring. It is possible that the WOT procedure may help. I have the same thing and the WOT didn't clear it up so I went to stage 2, GM Top Engine Cleaner and I am not evaluating the results before I go to stage 3, Squid Procedure.
Hope this helps.
