Express window close

Hi  I'm new to the Forum and am not familiar yet with procedures.  I have a 2005 STS and according to the manual, if you hold down the lock button on the fob, while outside the vehicle, any open windows will close automatically.  This doesn't happen and I wonder if anyone else has this condition and is there any fix?  Thanks for any info

I have a 2007 STS and that feature works fine on my car.  Wait untill the car automatically locks the doors and then hold down the lock button on the fob.  My window did close by itself.  I didn't even know about that feature.  See how everybody learns someting from this forum.  Let us know if the close feature worked worked for you.

Unfortunate error in owner manual, feature not available till 2006 model year.Hope it helps

I have an 06 with the same issue.  The manual explains how to do it but it won''t work.  Even the dealer couldn''t get it to work.  Their only suggestion was to reprogram the Nav system but they didn''t sound too confident that would work.  Anyone got their 06 to work?  Is the owner''s manual correct or is there a undocumented sequence?

I have an 05 STS and that feature works fine in my car so I think it''''s a myth that that option wasn''''t installed until 06. Try it again with all four windows down.

That is not true because  I have an 05 STS4 and that feature works fine in my car.
