sentimental value can be priceless ...
$13.1k is surely a record high for such a vehicle.
then again, look at the '88 that sold for $10,000.

I was quite surprised. The car went for $13,100. I believe a relative of the deceased was the high bidder. It will reside in the Tampa area.

I am really not that surprised with the price. Everyone thinks that my 88 is worth much more than I could ever sell it for.
If it really was a 11,000 mile car and it had been maintained the price seems reasonalble. If the car has been sitting for the last 10 plus years then I wouldn't have taken a chance.
I wonder where the roof is?

Bob,
gotta wonder if in the absence of relatives and sentimental
value, what the outcome be. after all, there is market price
and there is what the car is worth to the owner.
there is another car i posted here around the same time, and the
owner, before the auction closed, offered me the car at a lower
price than what it sold for, but being a '88, i couldnt fathom the
idea of two '88s .. it wasnt black, it wasnt a '92.
