I have a 1993 Allante and am in need of the switch that is inside the door that turns everything off when the door is opened.  This is drivers side if that matters.  Can someone direct me to a part number, picture or a web site that carries this switch.

Where is this switch located, in the door, on the door frame and what does it look like?  With this not working  stuff is not getting turned off.

This switch is built into the door lock actuator assembly. It is called a door ajar switch. The whole assembly is $80 new, and significant disassembly is required to replace it. You have to pull off the door panel, and pull out the latch assembly, then take the actuator out of the latch assembly. It was a whole lot simpler on the earlier Allante' years when the switches were on the door jam. We have this part in stock new and you can order by calling us at 561-844-3938 or e-mail to allantesource@prodigy.net .

Look at "removal of BOSE speakers" thread, you will find the door panel instructions there.

allantesource (Dick)  has come to my rescue several times, as well as many other Allante owners.
He will even get on the phone and talk with your mechanic to advice.  His site offers awesome diagnostic
instructions for all Allante models, most of which I have had to use myself.

Dick is all about Allante cars.  Need a part, call him.
Highly recommended by this writer.
