The XLR is basically a Corvette with a Cadillac body. They are both assembled in the same GM factory in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I suggest you look in the C6 (the Corvette model starting in 2005) section in either the CorvetteForum or the CorvetteActionCenter (another Corvette forum). Watch your step in the CorvetteForum as they are maniacs for rule enforcement.

Just to clarify, the XLR is quite different from the C6 vette.
They share a platform but are filled with entirely different components.

not anymore! after many delays, the Allante crowd has landed.
check the Off-Topic where we hang out bantering and
waiting for technical issues anyone may have.
the Allante crowd is also versed in Vettes and Harleys,
and most have several Cadillac cars in the barn..
