disk brake conversion

I want to convert my front drum to disk. What cars would be good donor cars. I would probably be taking the spindles, master cylinder, power booster, proportionate valve, brake lines and frame brackets. I am thinking probably an early 70s Caddy or Olds or Buick. I do wonder if I could use other year brakes and just drilll out the A frames for different size ball joints. I was thinking about brakes from a Suburban or a pick up. Has anyone done a conversion? Thanks for any help.
