i have a 1996 eldorado 116k and i cannot bring up any info about the car mpg oil life etc what can i do to bring this up any help would be great thanks

the only thing i have tried was disconnecting the battery i have had the car since christmas and it has never worked also my check engine light is on due to the emission system and the dic says service air bag and change oil even though i changed it a month ago
