Sorry if this sounds a bit lame (or has already been covered elsewhere in these forums) but can anyone tell me if there's any secret to removing the rear seat in a 2001 Deville to gain access to the battery? I've just bought one and would like to disconnect the battery to prepare the car for storage. Strange as it may seem, I bought it 'sight unseen' and still haven't actually seen the car for myself, but a friend tried to do this for me yesterday and failed. (His wife broke a nail, too!) They couldn't find any release latches or levers anywhere. I've since read on another forum that, with some older model Devilles, the key is simply to push the seat towards the rear of the car whereupon it will unhook from the body. Can anyone confirm whether that's also the case on the 2001?
Any tips on how best to leave the car (for upwards of 6 months) in storage would also be very welcome.
Thank you in advance for any help offered.

pushing backwards on the bottom edge of any back seat, any GM, any Ford,
any Dodge is pretty standard to pop it out and up.
this does not apply to mi-seat models or SUV's.
hope that helps.
