Hi nube here. I have a 97 sedan deville, I just noticed that when I stop at a light the low oil light comes on, when I get going it goes out. Oil on dip stick is ok. Could it just be a sending unit? Or the pump( I hope not) The motor is a gm crate installed in 02 by dealer. Thanks in advance for any help.

Does your engine falter at all, if so could be a low idle. If you give it some gas does the light go out? Also make sure you are reading the dipstick correctly. If it is one of those wire jobs with a plastic nub on the end they are hard to read.

No falter at all, when I stop it comes on and when I get going it goes out. So I assume if I rev the engine it would go out. And I will recheck the didstick reading.
