I have a 92 deville that sat for a while when I put a new battery in it the brake lights came on for a few seconds with out the key in it then when I went to start it and the brake lights never came on. The blinkers and running lights both work just no brake lights the cruise control doesn''t work either. All the plugs are plugged in, all the fuses are good and no warning lights are on except the ABS light. Also the car stalls when you shift from reverse to drive with the steering wheel turned. the engine doesn''t struggle it just cuts out, but it always starts right back up. any ideas. Thanks for your help

I''d make sure the battery was well charged and that the connections were clean and tight. I''d then check the tail light sockets for corrosion and moisture plus power using a voltmeter.
As far as engine goes sounds to me like too low idle BUT what is the condition of the belts? Any tight or siezed pulleys like the AC compressor ?
