I would check the plugs, wires and coil.

Popping thru the throttle body is usually a flattened camshaft. Worn lobes because of coolant mixed with oil. Remove the oil filler cap and see if the residue is a milky brown color. If so, at least the intake gasket is leaking and the cam is ruined!1
